2 years agoChelmsford game tomorrow CANCELLED!!!!
Hi Parents,
Sorry for the late email but the VHL just let us know tomorrow's game in Chelmsford at 11:50am has been cancelled by the other team. Have no specifics but we aren't playing. Please confirm you receive this as we don't want anyone making the trip to and empty sheet of ice. Thank you.

3 years agoHey Folks,
The u8 has the chance to play in a 1 day all girls tournament / jamboree at Holy Cross' new rink on Sunday January 16th. It's a round robin, cross ice tourney format, similar to the Heseltine. We'd get at least 3 twenty minute games scheduled between 9am and 5pm. Check out the link:

Please let me know if you would be interested in playing. No is certainly fine. If this happens we'll need to register soon. Thank you.

3 years agoHey now u8!! The scarecrows are on display in front of the library. You can't miss them if your driving up the hill on Main Street entering downtown.
The VHL has posted our games through November 20th. Looks like a mix of 2pm games on Saturdays or Sundays at Phillips. Please keep in mind we are entered into the Heseltine Tourney at Phillips Thanksgiving weekend. We'll have games Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It's a blast with 24+ teams, tons of raffles and prizes with food trucks in the parking lot and tunes blasting during games.
One thing I'll ask moving forward is to have kids show up at least 15 minutes prior to game start. We have the locker rooms this season thankfully and it would be great to have the girls get dressed together prior to the game and gear down after in the locker room. It's so helpful to have a few minutes to get them fired up pregame and then give them a few minutes to wind down together and have some laughs after.
I completely understand running from multiple events with the kids every weekend, but unlike most other sports, the locker room provides a place to build friendships and comraderie that other sports just don't offer. Let's make sure we can take advantage of it. Same goes for practices.
Thanks again for all your efforts and I'm very much looking forward to the rest of the season. This is a great group of kids and families who hopefully will be playing hockey together for years to come.

2 years ago3 quick things for the u8!!
-Our game this weekend is 12:10 at Phillips on Saturday. We need a volunteer for goalie. I'll bring the pads to practice tomorrow night if whomever plays wants to practice.
-We finally have a Saturday afternoon tilt so we may as well have a gathering. For those who can make it, we will be taking over Otto immediately following Saturday's game. All families are welcome.
-Andover High School's girls hockey team has qualified for the Division 2 State Tournament and are hosting Franklin in their first game at Breakaway on Friday at 4:30. I will most likely be bringing Dehlia to the game and am happy to grab some other kids if anyone would like to go.
