Friday January 31st at 7pm is Andover Hockey Night at the Boston Fleet game. We have secured 75+ tickets in sections 110 & 111 for the game that evening. Assuming we collectively are able to get 75 people to the game, we will have a meet and greet with a few players following the game as well.
Please click this link https://fevo-enterprise.com/event/AYH in order to purchase tickets. Yellow game jerseys are encouraged for the game. Thank you.

a month agoOpen Skate schedule changes...
Hello u10. We are moving our open skate from Friday evenings to Sundays at 10:40am on the Harrison sheet for the remainder of the season. The skate will be bi-weekly moving forward.
With Phillips ice hockey teams now in season, we've lost access to the Friday ice time. We are also adding all girls scrimmages for our u8 team as the VHL only offers coed games.
For December, we will have an Open Skate for our girls u8, u10, u12 & u14 on December 8th & 22nd at 10:40am on the Harrison sheet. We will start up again on Sunday January 12th and host an open skate every other week through mid March. The AHA calendar will update soon with the proper dates.
Obviously this is an optional ice time, but we encourage all our girls to attend. I understand scheduling conflicts, but it would be great to get as many kids as possible to take advantage of the ice time as it is expensive.
Any questions, let me know. Thanks for trusting Andover Hockey with your daughters hockey experience.

3 months agoHello u10!!
Check out the attached flyer for Friday's Merrimack women's hockey game. We are inviting our girls program to attend the game. We will NOT be hosting our usual Friday night open ice in lieu of attending the Merrimack game. Hopefully we can get a good showing.

4 months agoFriday Open Ice!!
Just a heads up AHA is offering an open sheet of ice for our girls program on Fridays at 6pm throughout the season. Our HSHS as well as u10, u12, and u14 teams are encouraged to attend for pick up hockey. You should see the ice time listed as a "practice" on your family schedules in Crossbar. We tried this last season with great success.
The idea is to let the girls have an hour to skate, play pick up, cross ice, have shooting contests, basically have fun without coaches instruction, think pond hockey. Full equipment is required and we only ask for those attending to include everyone in whatever games materialize. Thank you.

4 months agoWelcome u10!!!
Hard to believe hockey season starts Tuesday but here we are. Hope everyone had a great summer! Our practice and skills schedule has been uploaded onto the AHA website through Thanksgiving. Middlesex League games have been scheduled for the month of September. You can the access team's calendar via the AHA website and going to the u10 team homepage.
We've mixed up our girls offering this season to include a dedicated weekly skills session. We are very fortunate to have Erika Hammer and Courtney Sheary alternating on Wednesdays. Erika will be focused on skating and edges while Courtney and her team will provide game specific training. If you're not familiar with Courtney, she played at UNH and the Boston Blades, coached at Dartmouth and Boston College. We are lucky to have her involved with our girls program this season.
We will have 1 practice per week, 1 skills session, 1 open skate, and 1 game per weekend. Friday night open skates are designed to provide open ice for pick up games. Practices will be on Tuesday's through Thanksgiving, skills will be on Wednesdays through Thanksgiving, and once parity is over, we will have 1 Middlesex game per weekend.
You're in good hands with coaches Steve Winsor, Scott Corning, Nick McNulty, and Brian Cronin. Welcome to the season and thanks again for skating with Andover Hockey.

4 days agoMass State Tournament & Next Season's Girls Program
Just a reminder our girls teams are scheduled to play in the tier 3 MA Hockey StateTournament the weekend of March 7-9. Tournament will be at Lovell Arena https://lovellarena.com/ in Rockland MA, about an hour drive depending on traffic. If you haven't been to this rink, you're in for a treat as they have a full service restaurant, golf simulators and a bowling alley.
Each team will have one game Friday night and 2 games on Saturday. Semi-finals and finals are Sunday. We are looking into getting a block of rooms at a local hotel for those interested in booking a room for Friday night. Depending on game schedules, we also may be able to make reservations at a local restaurant for dinner. Please let your coaches know if you will be available for the games.
As for next season, we are knee deep in the planning phases already. Evaluations will be the week of March 10-14. Each age group will host a one hour evaluation session that week. Fortunately, our evaluations will not conflict with the local girls club teams as in year's past as they can not begin tryouts until March 17th. Evaluations ice times will be announced soon.
As for what to expect for next season, we plan on continuing to offer our weekly skills sessions with Courtney Sheary & Erika Hammer while continuing to skate in the Middlesex League and hosting Saturday games at Phillips. Depending on enrollment, we may have 1 or 2 teams per age grouping. Our budget committee is also working to see if we can add elev802 back into the mix as well as looking at other potential offerings.
If you could please respond to this email and let me know if your daughter is planning on skating with AHA again next season, it would be greatly appreciated. We'd also like to hear any feedback on this current season and feel free to share any ideas or voice any concerns. Lastly, if you are interested in getting more involved with AHA, please let me know. There are a few areas our girls program could use some assistance. Thank you.
All the Best,
