AHA Parents and Friends at Lake Placid Tourney!

Over 20 AHA board members, coaches, parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends made the trip to the site of the historic 1980 upset Olympic victory by Team USA over the mighty Soviets and tried to recapture some past glories by participating in a tourney the weekend of April 26-28, 2024.

The group split into two teams and faced some fierce competition against teams from across New England, New York, and Canada.  Ultimately neither team advanced to the medal round, but the "Blue" team ended on a high note with a 5-3 victory.  The players enjoyed some hard earned down time as well, highlighted by watching the Bruins' victory over the Maple Leafs on Saturday night while sitting directly across the bar from a team hailing from Ontario.  More importantly, they all walked away with a greater appreciation for what AHA kids do week in and week out. 

Special thanks to Gabe Tash and Dave Caruso who performed heroically in goal. 

We are already planning the next trip - see you in Nashville in Spring 2025!
