PWHL Boston players are coming to Andover!!

Save the Dates!! AHA has the good fortune of hosting 3 PWHL Boston players at a practice on Friday January 19th from 6:10pm-8:20pm for a fun skate, autographs, and meet and greet.

We also will be hosting an "Andover Hockey Night" at the PWHL Boston game vs Minnesota on Saturday January 27th at 4pm at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell. Discounted tickets can be purchased using the following link https://fevo-enterprise.com/event/Andove...

Being the largest town hockey program north of Boston, we are lucky to be engaged with the PWHL Boston franchise and their community outreach program. The League has put forth a real commitment to grow girls hockey at the grassroots level. In addition to the players coming to Phillips and hosting an Andover Hockey Night at one of their games, we will also have a few other opportunities to be involved with their team as the season marches on.

Specific details will follow about which ages will be on the ice with the players and what times prior to the January 19th skate. Let's show them our support and get as many Andover families to the game on January 27th. The ticket link is active so don't wait to get seats if it's a sellout.

Last call - outdoor skate!

Hello U12 Families - hope everyone has been enjoying the week off. Just a reminder we have the outdoor rink booked for Sunday morning. If you haven't updated your availability yet please do so by the end of the day as we are trying to get a final headcount, and have some U14s and U10s who want to join us as well. I'll send another note out on Saturday with details and logistics.

AHA U12 - NYE Outdoor Game - Reminder/Head Count

Just a reminder that we have rented the Kirrane outdoor rink NYE from 9-10am. I'm trying to head a final head count so if you have not RSVP'ed already, could you please let me know during the coming week whether or not your daughter will be participating?

AHA U12 - Save the Date for Winter Classic!

Hi Families,

Please save the date for Sunday, December 31st (New Year's Eve) - we have rented the Kirrane outdoor rink for our traditional "winter classic" outdoor game. We have the ice at 9am so it should not interfere with any holiday festivities (unless you start celebrating with Australia or Asia!). For those who have not participated previously, the Jack Kirrane Rink is a full-sized outdoor ice rink located on the grounds of the picturesque Lars Anderson Park in Brookline. In the past the girls (and usually some siblings/friends) have participated in the own version of the NHL's annual outdoor winter classic. Fingers crossed the weather that day will be 32 degrees, partly cloudy and with a light snow falling. The cost of the sheet is $400 so we can split among participating families. Perhaps the girls can plan brunch after the game somewhere in Boston. If you'd like to participate please let me know (and if you'd like to have any siblings or friends play too - we will cap it at 20 skaters and two goalies).
